Whitemoor Lakes Youthwork

Midlands Unite - Whitemoor Lakes Youthwork

In February we reached out to Church Youth Leaders from right across the midlands to discuss ways in which we could aid their work and ministry moving forward.
It was a very successful and productive meet up, there was a bountiful healthy discussion on the challenges our youth face today, how we can work towards a brighter future for all & how we may aid the wonderful work each Church Ministry carries out 🙏
We even had time for some classic Whitemoor Lakes activities, with some brave souls taking on the climbing wall, abseiling and the leap of faith! 🫢
In June we had the follow up meeting and started the day with a fantastic time of worship and praying for one another, followed by Jon Ford sharing about the proposal which has come out of the feedback from everyone from the first gathering in February. Four main themes gave the direction of how Whitemoor Lakes can help and support youth ministries across the Midlands moving forward.

Whitemoor Lakes as a Training Hub for Youth Ministries

We are enrolling Whitemoor Lakes as a training hub to deliver youth ministry training for youth leaders/ volunteers and young people from across the Midlands.

We are currently in correspondence with Christian youth group organisations from across the UK to come and deliver regular training to both youth leaders/ volunteers and young people

We are planning to invite you all to meet the organisations in October/ November 2024 with the possibility to sign up for training.

Midlands UNITE - Christian Youth Leaders Network for the Midlands

We started an information update platform in February 2024. From September we are looking to arrange 3 or 4 church leader gatherings at Whitemoor Lakes throughout this year and next. This gives the opportunity to come and be refreshed by Jesus, to network with others, be encouraged and energised to carry out your important work.

To keep up to date please sign up here

Christian Youth Events @Whitemoor Lakes

Whitemoor Lakes used to run “Hey!” youth events.

In December we are planning to launch a new youth event for church youth groups from across the Midlands.

Whitemoor Lakes Youth Co-ordinators

Once the training hub is established we’re planning to employ, in the next 2-3 years, two Youth Co-ordinators who will be based at Whitemoor Lakes. They will support church youth groups across the Midlands.

Are you a Church Youth Worker and would like to connect?

From September Jon Ford will step into pastures new and be our new Whitemoor Lakes Youth Project Lead/ Midlands UNITE Co-ordinator.

Please feel free to connect and email him at youth@whitemoorlakes.org.uk
